What is an example of an autonomous work group?

For example, if a nonprofit focusing on children's literacy creates an autonomous work group to plan and execute fundraisers, upper management might meet with them early in their process to brainstorm events that address the organization's mission, like book drives or magazine subscription sales.

What does Autónomos mean?

Greek autónomos "sself-governing, independent" (from auto- auto- + -nomos, adjective derivative of nómos "custom, convention, law") + -ous — more at nomothetic “Autonomous.”
